DataLab introduce Summer Camp 2018 for students interested in Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Big Data.

Projects in areas of

  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Mining,
  • ChatBot Intelligence,
  • Recommender Systems,
  • Big Data and Distributed Systems,
  • Internet of Things,
  • Software and Data Engineering,
  • Data Visualisation.

We have assignments from our industry partners and also research assignment related to the research at FIT. Most of the them will be published in the Portal SSP under the course named Summer Camp 2018 (MI-SUM). The assignments will start appearing in the Portal during June (depending on the sponsors). To see all the available projects from our industry partners you need to sign a non-disclosure agreement, you can sign it in NB:341a - Lucie Kolomazníková.

Do not worry if you would like to join, but you do not have an assignment yet. On the beginning of the Summer Camp we will make a meeting for those who are not sure about the assignment or have some more questions. If you have some project related to topics of Datalab, you can also join us with your own project!


  • Summer Camp welcomes students, foreign students, doctoral students and anybody from CTU who is interested in building something new and innovative.


  • July to mid-September.


  • CTU FIT, Thákurova 9.


  • Participation for at least 2 months (8 not necessarily consecutive weeks).

  • To start a project
    • Project proposal approved by Summer Camp Committee.
  • To finish successfully
    • Gitlab repository with all source code and documentation.
    • Report with:
      • Research in the field and state of the art methods.
      • Description of the chosen approach.
      • Results, summary, project conclusion.
      • Four slides final presentation (project, approach, results, conclusion).


  • New experience, knowledge and shared ideas with colleques interested in the same field.
  • Experienced mentors that will support you with a brisk and productive start and help overcome initial problems.
  • Interesting presentations by domain experts.
  • Scholarship of ten to twenty thousand CZK per month.
  • Access to computational resources.
